You can exclude an IP address or a range of IP addresses that will not be assigned to your test. For example, indicate your company’s network’s IP address and/or those of your partners so their visits don’t influence the results. You can exclude IP addresses in two places:
- At the account level, to exclude IPs from all of the tests associated with this account. You can set this up in the account options.
- At the test level, to exclude one or several IPs for this test only. You can set this up directly in the editor.
1) Excluding an IP at the account level
In your account settings, choose the "Exclude IPs":
Click on the "Range of IP addresses" to exclude several IP addresses.
Then click on Add so the IP addresses will be excluded during your next tests. Excluding IP addresses is not retroactive, so your addresses will not be excluded for tests that are currently running or those that are already finished: excluding IP addresses will be applied for all new campaigns created after the exclusion set up.
2) Excluding an IP at the test level
Go to the targeting options of your test tab and click Visitors>IP address.
Click Add.
Add the IP address to exclude or include, and click on OK.
To add a range of IP addresses, click on and add the various IP addresses to exclude or include. Excluding or including IP addresses through the editor is not retroactive, and will therefore only apply to new visitors to the test.
