Three indicators are calculated by default in AB Tasty:
- Bounce rate
- Recurring visit
- Number of page views
These indicators are most often secondary indicators (less important than indicators like the add to cart rate and purchase), but they allow some analyses to be refined.
Any notable differences you may see between these indicators and those present in your web analysis tools may come from the calculation method and the perimeter where the AB Tasty tag exists. The only purpose of these indicators is to make comparisons between the original and the variations; we strongly discourage any comparison between AB Tasty and web analytics tools.
The calculation method of the various indicators is explained below.
The bounce rate is the bounce rate of the visitors, tested on their first connection on the entire perimeter where the AB Tasty tag exists. It is calculated based on each visitor.
Number of visitors who bounced / Total number of visitors
For the test, we consider that a visitor has bounced if he left the site immediately after having seen a test page for the first time. A visitor can only bounce once.
Recurring visit rate is the percent of unique visitors who have come back at least once to a page of the site after having seen the test. It is calculated on the basis of each visitor:
Number of unique visitors who revisited / Total number of visitors
Number of pageviews per visit is the average quantity of pageviews per visit on the entire perimeter where the AB Tasty tag is placed, starting from when the visitor is assigned to a test. It is calculated based on the visitor:
Total number of pageviews after having been assigned to a test / Number of visitors
