In order to target your tests remaining as close as possible to the users, display relevant customization at the right time, you can retrieve data from your Data Management Platform in AB Tastyโs tool.
Today users have a large amount of choice to purchase something : they can go to a shop, they can order by the phone, online, with a computer, their smartphone, or even a tablet.
The DMP purpose is to gather consumers data, from multiples contact points. It will analyze data, and sort it to create specific audience segments.
Using a DMP can enhance your online marketing strategy in several ways: combined with AB Tasty, it triggers the right messages, to the right user, at the right time. Obviously, it is a great opportunity to improve your userโs experience, and therefore ease the engagement on your website.
Technically speaking, integrating a DMP with AB Tasty just requires to develop a bridge, allowing your DMP and AB Tastyโs tool to communicate and share data.
Once the bridge is set-up, AB Tasty can retrieve in a few milliseconds the segment from the DMP. This mechanism is repeated every time a page loads.
In the segmentation criteria for your tests and personalizations, you should configure specific segments to allow the tool to retrieve data from the DMP.
AB Tasty will gather those data from the DMP, and use it to target tests:
1. When a user visits a website, AB Tasty gives him/ her an ID

Linking your DMP with AB Tasty empowers your messages customization towards users, to ease their engagement, and give the best customer experience as possible.
Configuring your DMP in your AB Tasty account
Once the bridge is created, log-in your account to retrieve your DMP data.
- Go to Settings>Integration>DMP & CRM Onboarding tools:
- Select the DMP you want to configure and activate it by clicking the On/Off toggle button, and fill the IDs provided by your DMP :
- Get back to the Dashboard, select one of your tests and go to step 4 Targeting:
- In the Targeting step of your campaign, click Who will see the test / subtest / scenario.
- Select Create new segment from the drop-down list:

In the Audience Manager, click New segment > From blank. - Click the Data hub category.
- Drag the DMP of your choice and drop it into the middle section.
To configure your DMP, apply the following steps:
- Select a segment from the first drop-down list: Audience or Badge.
- Choose the Audience or the Badge you want to use from the drop-down list.
- Save your targeting.
