Once you have finalized the creation of a segment during the Targeting step of your campaign (or via Audience Manager directly), you can save it and use it to target the same audience in another campaign.
The Segments tab enables you to display the list of previously saved segments and to carry out the following actions:
- Edit
- Duplicate
- Archive
- Restore (if the segment is archived)
- Activate
The Segments tab contains the following information for each saved segment:
- the segment name;
- the traffic share;
- the transaction rate;
- the segment status (active or inactive): hover to display the number of campaigns for which the segment is active. For each active segment, a modal displays the segment ID and name;

- Archived: displays the saved segments that have been archived.
Metrics of saved segments
Each segment displays the traffic percentage as well as the transaction rate. This provides information on the segment usage in relation to the campaign as a whole.
This metrics calculation is based on the last 30 days.
β‘ |
Metrics are only available for Growth plans, for all segmentation criteria except for those based on the Cookie, since cookie-related information cannot be stored for confidentiality reasons. |
Traffic percentage
The percentage of total traffic is the traffic percentage which your segment represents compared to the total visitor traffic on your website within the last month. In other words, the number of visitors from the segment divided by the total number of visitors within the last month.
Transaction rate
If the transaction tag has been placed on the website, this coincides with the segmentβs transaction rate. In other words, the percentage of visitors who made a purchase out of all the visitors belonging to this segment. For more on this, refer to Installing the transaction tag.
If several transaction tags have been placed, this coincides with the overall transaction rate.
π |
If you have created a segment whose action is over 30 days old (this is the case for segmentation criteria with an open number of days, such as Last purchase, Purchase frequency, Days since last session, or Days since first session), the transaction rate and the traffic percentage will be a sample, calculated based on the current month, not on the entire duration. |
