The Content interest criterion is a segmentation criterion that enables you to create a segment.
đź“– Definition
The Content interest segment criterion enables you to restrict the visibility of a campaign to visitors based on their interest in certain products or services featured on your website. The more pages your users visit, the more likely it is that they will be recognized as being appetent to a type of product or service.
⚙️ Configuration
AB Tasty uses NLP (Natural Language Processing) and keyword matching to capture visitor browsing interests based on visited pages.
When you start typing in the field, certain words will appear. They are keywords from the page title tag of your websites. Each keyword can be considered as an appetence but if you focus on a specific product category, you will be able to create a segment based on this category.
On the tooltip on rollover, we explain how many visited pages with the selected keyword we use to identify interested visitors. This figure can’t be changed as we use machine learning to find the best level for triggering interest membership.
In this example, the term “chemise” is the keyword we use to identify the visitors that are interested in shirts. For your information, we consider that visiting 12 pages with this keyword is the right number to be sure of this interest.
đź’ˇ Use case
As a general e-merchant, you can customize your homepage carousel with your birth list program exclusively for visitors that have an interest in child care products.
