The AB Tasty generic tag enables you to run campaigns on your website. We recommend you install the tag on all pages of your website, to be able to collect data on all indicators and view them in the reports.
By default, the AB Tasty tag is updated every time a test or personalization is launched. This enables the most recent changes to be uploaded onto the website and to be seen by your visitors.
Here are the 4 statuses the AB Tasty tag can have:
Tag is up-to-date
👀 What you see:
💬 Message displayed: Last update: dd/mm/yyyy - hh:mm:ss -UTC +02:00 / Once you update the tag, all changes made to your active campaigns and/or account settings since the last update will be visible in production.
🛠️ Action to perform: Click the icon to force the tag update.
⚙️ Technical information: All the changes you made in your campaigns or in your account settings are pending.
Tag is being updated
👀 What you see:
💬 Message displayed: The tag is being updated. This may take a few seconds.
🛠️ Action to perform: No action to perform. The status of the tag will automatically change to status 3 once the update is complete.
⚙️ Technical information: The tag is compiling all data from your campaigns including the last modifications you've made and will be sent to our servers for distribution.
Tag has just been updated
👀 What you see:
💬 Message displayed: /
🛠️ Action to perform: No action to perform. The tag icon will automatically go back to status 1.
⚙️ Technical information: All your live campaigns, including your latest modifications, are now in production.
Framework is empty
👀 What you see:
💬 Message displayed: It seems that the AB Tasty framework is empty. This means that your campaigns are temporarily deactivated. To continue running your campaigns, click Rebuild framework directly from the dashboard or in the Settings.
🛠️ Action to perform: To continue running your campaigns, you need to recreate the library. To do so, go to Settings > Framework > Recreate library
⚙️ Technical information: This function clears the content of the JavaScript file called up by the AB Tasty tag. In other words, without removing the tag, you call up a file that contains no instructions. This is useful if you notice errors on your site and suspect AB Tasty.
