- Using the AB Tasty Chrome extension
⭐ Good to know
For A/B tests, you can also use the code editor which enables you to make your changes via JavaScript and CSS code. To access it, click Code editor in the Main information step of your campaign. For more information on the code editor, refer to Using the code editor.
Clicking the editor step within a campaign
The easiest way to open the editor is directly within your campaign’s creation flow. To do so, click Variation editor from the left menu of your campaign.
You can also access this step via the dashboard by clicking > Variation editor of the campaign you want to edit.
⭐ Good to know
The last editor you used will open by default the next time you load the editor, whether it is the same campaign or a different one. To change the type of editor, go to the Main information step of your campaign and select the editor you want to open.
Adding a parameter in the URL
Another solution is to add a parameter in the URL of the page you want to modify. To open the variation editor, go to the page of your website corresponding to the URL you entered in the Main information step of your campaign and add the following parameter: ?abtasty_editor=testID.
You need to replace testID with the ID of your test. This ID is available in the dashboard, in the ID column.
For example: if your sample URL is https://www.mywebsite.com/, it will become https://www.mywebsite.com/?abtasty_editor=586298.
If your campaign is an A/B test, you can open the code editor by applying the following steps:
- Replace xxxxxx by the test ID of the campaign you want to edit: https://app2.abtasty.com/edit/test/xxxxxx/code-editor
- Click the URL:
The Code editor opens.
The code editor can only be launched via the AB Tasty platform.
