Cart abandonment criterion
The Cart abandonment criterion is a segmentation criterion. It allows you to create a segment to restrict the visibility of a campaign to visitors that initiated a card without validating it during their previous session.
This criterion is based on the transaction tag and some specific hits integration, which enables AB Tasty to precisely identify this audience.
To configure the Cart abandonment, you have to begin by selecting one value from the first drop-down list: “has” or, “has not” depending on which visitor you want to target. You have two options :
- The one that abandoned their cart during the previous session
- The one that did not abandon their cart during the previous session, which means visitors that did not engage any cart previously on your website
You can also refine the Cart abandonment targeting by adding advanced conditions (by clicking the “add condition” CTA), thus defining better your audience. You have two options here:
- Number of product
- Total cart amount
💡 Use case
In this exemple, your campaign will be displayed for visitors that initiated a cart superior to 300€ during their previous session. When they come back, you could have the possibility to highlight better on your website flow the benefit of your fidelity/return policies to reassure your visitors about ordering on your website.
